Pros

-Decent salary and personal insurance - Opportunity to learn from big projects (Ballast, Srubbers, etc).

Cons

- Poor average tenure of majority of employees (1-2 years). - Competitive and toxic climate (sometimes) arising from toxic management -HR simply doesn't take any initiative at all and functions as a puppet of the upper management. - Older employees in Hydrus have been promoted in higher management positions and they acquire the best of benefits and wages, but without providing the same efforts and added value. - Micro-management policies. No trust given to junior employees that they will complete the work with their best ways and effort. - No meritocracy and fair development. - Bad work - life balance. - Promised bonus is just a lie. No fair treatment. Rewards and bonuses are not equal to skill or effort, which are not even recognized in many cases. -The company management has unprofessional behavior to employees in some cases. - Company doesn't safeguard the employees against customers' extravagant requirements and narrow deadlines.

Pros

The company demonstrates remarkable adaptability and a forward-thinking approach. The dynamic environment encourages the pursuit of knowledge but also makes every day an opportunity for personal and professional advancement. Management encourages the above by offering training opportunities as well. Despite the challenges of the shipping industry, where extended working hours are common, Hydrus stands firm in maintaining a standard eight-hour workday. The team culture is one of its greatest assets. It’s vital to be part of a workforce that values cooperation and support. The company strives to ensure fairness and transparency in assessments through an evaluation process which is essential for maintaining employee motivation. On top of this, Hydrus offers competitive salaries, comprehensive insurance, and various other benefits, further recognizing and rewarding employee contribution.

Cons

Enhancing the structure, processes, and procedures within the company could lead to even greater efficiency and effectiveness. Implementing stricter adherence to these structures would enable employees to navigate their tasks with more clarity and confidence.Furthermore, introducing a work-from-home scheme, where practicable, would reflect a modern understanding of flexibility, catering to the diverse needs of the workforce.
