Pros

Assignments fit my schedule; collaborative environment; reasonable pay; benefits offered; thoughtful pairing of clients & assignments with our skills & experience; they care about my professional growth as well as the company's & clients' success. I have never worked under this business model before. For my primary assignment, I am the "on-site" consultant at the client company for 2 days/week. My other team members are an offsite coworker who is designated a number of hours during the month. The third member provides strategic oversight for us and the company. We have weekly team calls, and the synergy among us is fantastic. I think the enthusiasm + proven expertise has been engendered from the top. Going in to this assignment, I wondered how it would work, but I am very pleased. This is timely for me, as I'm taking a lot of classes and not able to devote full time to a job right now, yet I want to be fully present & professional for the hours I'm there. It must sound like I'm a relative or something, but I never met any of these folks before, and I couldn't be more pleased with how it's worked out. Also, I LOVE my primary client company.

Cons

Because we are a virtual team, I seldom get to see my coworkers in person. That hasn't seemed to prevent us from working together well. The trickiest thing is that, with such a small team, we have 3 people with the same first name!
