Pros

I met some nice people and got a good toolset to move on to another less stressful, more rewarding job . Pay rate is pretty good, but consider it hazardous duty pay!

Cons

Nepotism and favoritism are rampant! Working hard and becoming proficient at your job is rewarded with more tasks and cross training on less desirable jobs outside the lab with no pay increase. Being inept or lazy is rewarded with easier tasks & lighter workload. Poor management is an understatement. Forced, mandatory overtime and zero work life balance. They are always understaffed as well with zero to no HR reps most of the time. I could go on and on, but why bother? Not a great work environment with lots of pettiness and gossiping coworkers. Who you know or are close with as well as who you are related to there has much to do with how difficult your job is.

Pros

Working at HP Hood for a short of amount of time was a blessing in disguise. The interview was fairly simple, as it went from a phone call screening to then an interview with the head IT admin. Once there, they connect you with every team in the building to make sure that you're situated properly. The people in the office are great, as they'll go out of their way to converse with you and are inclusive on top. The culture and work are very manageable and not overbearing.

Cons

The only con I can say is that you have to be in office 5x a week.
