Pros

You know you're doing something positive for the people who allow you into their homes. There was also a great amount of freedom when it came to being able to creatively produce the show.

Cons

Working freelance doesn't offer you benefits and although home-make over series seems niche, there are niches within niches and no protection once a show comes to its conclusion.

Pros

the environment overall is quite warm, everyone is inviting. small team. occasional free stuff. other interns to work with as well, was nice to see that they had their own intern room with mac computers. starbucks is right downstairs.

Cons

a bit intimidating working for a big company. long hours of transcribing! although the office is a part of the Hearst Tower, it is part of the separated extension building. INTERNS DONT GET PAID. experience is great, but commuting was expensive for a student like me
