Pros
The area I work in has great management that encourages new software practices and allows engineers to move to areas where they are happy. They do their best to keep good employees, and only hire those with good experience or attitude.
Cons
I know that other sections of the company are plagued with old-style barely-agile-mostly-waterfall bad management that pushes out innovation to save a few days on a relatively meaningless deadline. They are burning out employees and do not see the error of their ways.
