Pros

Pretty chill job, usually really quiet. You get a bonus if you sell couches.

Cons

Can get boring if not much to do

Pros

Great Danish design, fun environment, low pressure on sales - easy to sell to the HAY customer. They know and like the product already, just need a push with info & details. Relaxed dress code, great personable relationships made with coworkers and clients alike.

Cons

far too low commission (2% on delivered) for the amount of work, some clients are more needy than others and ask for multiple discounts, which eat into your commissions too. Customers are trained for sales, and almost never buy at full price. Lots of product not in stock or delayed months long, causing more discounts offered to keep customers happy - rewarding this behavior is not good in the long run.

Pros

flexible schedule, kind and non-sharky fellow account execs, surrounded by cool design, great place to network with designers

Cons

lead time constantly change as soon as we update customers, conflicting words from upper management - told to maintain a relaxed Danish vibe but to also improve sales even after we've improved from previous months, no real incentives for achieving or surpassing goals, only receive commission on shipped sales (which also why delays suck for both client & account exec), which often lead to cancellations. clients can be rude and unreasonable
