Pros
One of the best things about working at Hatchbeauty is the culture. You are among some of the best and most knowledgeable people in the beauty industry. There is no office drama and gossip is not tolerated, which was one of the main factors that attracted me to Hatchbeauty. In my department everyone worked together as a team and we had the opportunity to launch and work with some of the most successful retailers and brand personalities. During my tenure I learned a MASSIVE amount about design, manufacturing, product development, trademarking, mass retailers, specialty retailers, presentation strategies and all the in and outs of the beauty industry. I was surrounded by some amazing mentors. Ben Bennett who is one of the managing partners and the creative director played a key part in my success as a designer and career advancement. The lessons he taught me and our whole team are invaluable. Hard work is always rewarded at Hatchbeauty and there is always tons of room for advancement. Another BIG plus working for Hatchbeauty is that you work very closely with all the C-level people. You get to see first hand how they approach a project and the reasoning behind each strategy. The amount of brands you get to launch and work on at Hatchbeauty is incredible and that is one of the reasons they are so successful which in turn makes you successful. This company is very entrepreneurial and a huge resume boost.
Cons
Among the departments, the creative department is the most in demand. Although I don't feel this is a con, you learn how to work in a fast paced environment with a lot of moving parts. This is definitely not a job for the unmotivated.
