Pros

The company has potential to be a good employer. They do have good benefits and pay decent. If you are friends with the right people in the company then you will have a good chance to get paid well and do minimum work.

Cons

HR and Management are not trust worthy. Fair wage distribution and merit based performance does not occur. Like the other reviewer stated, the company listens too much to its employees that have been with the company beyond 10 years. Innovative ideas, forward thinking strategies, dedication and hard work will be more of a disadvantage and certain influential managers & senior employees will only consider these traits as a threat. There is too much back stabbing and bad talking with the managers and superintendents amongst each other.

Pros

Japanese executives are very personable, professional and have great work ethic. Main office is located on the leeward side so there is no need to commute into downtown. Pay is adequate and the benefits are ideal. The homes that Haseko Hawaii designs and builds are phenomenal. It’s one thing you can be proud of when employed here.

Cons

Baby boomers employed here are extremely threatened by young talent and just can’t seem to accept retirement. They lack expertise and are truly not capable to train anyone effectively. Mentality is “their way only”...it is extremely sad. There is no room for growth within this company unless you are under the right department head who will fight for you. Turnover is high.
