HAIX Group Response

Hello and thank you for taking the time to leave your thoughts, though I am definitely disheartened to learn of your feelings/takeaway from your time with HAIX. I feel it is very important to both acknowledge your feelings and offer an apology that we did not live up to your expectations as an employer, but I also would like to address the claims made in your review. The German employees that we have stateside in management positions, currently and historically, have had many years of experience with the company before they are given any executive level title or position. I hesitate to even use the word “given” as they have earned their positions by advancing through different departments and roles, gaining the requisite knowledge needed to take on management positions. Many started their careers with the company, some beginning with internships in our German corporate headquarters. A few chosen interns then come to America on their own accord after an in-depth training experience in all facets of product development and manufacturing in Germany. Away from their families and friends, they come to learn about the U.S. customer base and the differences in communication between the American and the European markets. It is a complete immersive experience for these trainees and they gain more knowledge on a global scale. Our Sales Director, for example, is celebrating his 10-year HAIX anniversary this month. I would hope anyone who has dedicated themselves to their work in the way he has would be considered for advancement at that tenure or before. He, in particular, worked his way up from the internship program, with an extended internship in the U.S, to Junior Sales Manager, to Sales Manager, and now Sales Director. The age of an individual in no way indicates their experience, knowledge or ability to perform a role. We certainly wouldn’t discriminate based on such factors as someone’s age, just as we would not discriminate based on appearance, race, or nationality. Lastly, while I feel it goes without saying, HAIX follows all guidelines and laws regarding their employees and their ability to perform their role. In no way would we allow someone to work under any influence. HAIX would face extreme consequences legally and would never endanger the safety, health and well-being of our staff. Per our employee handbook, HAIX has a drug-free workplace policy which we will enforce through disciplinary sanctions up to and including immediate termination for any employee violating this policy. HAIX is deeply committed to all operations in North America as well as abroad. Throughout the current pandemic we have kept every single employee on board, without salary reductions or furloughs, which attests to our commitment to our employees and is something we are proud of. Upon personal reflection, if you still feel there are points you need to address or would like to further discuss, I implore you to contact me directly. Thank you again. Elfriede Elfinger, Vice President

Pros

Don't let a few disgruntled former employees give out the wrong impression. Long standing employee that enjoys the team and the open direct communication, higher ups are very fair to their employees. Really stepped up to the plate in covid and worked with each employee as to what they are comfortable with in the work environment. Offered work from home, depending on circumstances. Initiated safe protocols in the office to protect the in house team as much as possible. On the road sales team could work from home and utilize zoom for visits with dealers and customers. Fast paced environment. Never boring. Open door policy, always. German management can be very direct in their management style. But find them to be very willing to work with you on any issues, personal or professional. Good amount of sick leave and vacation time. Comp days are offered to non management employees if needing to work after normal business hours, like attending a trade show on a weekend Not much micro-managing unless you fail to keep up with tasks, then management will step in and work with you.

Cons

Compensation is decent, management, though, tends to not up base pay for commission workers, instead depending on higher sales commissions to compensate for salary increases. Flat hierarchy
