Pros

You are givin the opp to move up in the company. If you know someone, the starting out pay is decent. Management really cares about their staff.

Cons

The way youll move up in the company is if your a good talker and you have a college degree with no grocery store exp, you are automatically a shoe in. Then the stores are bombarded with young college idiots that try to change everything but dont have a clue what goes on in a grocery store. Also they tend to look down upon you because all of the sudden because this company has givin them the upper hand and suddenly they are better than you. There really isnt much care for your personal life. Having a sick child, you still will get written up for staying at home with them or taking them to a doctor, theres no excuse.

Cons

NO FULL-TIME OFFER! The recruitment process at H-E-B Digital is deeply frustrating and appears to lack integrity. Despite having relevant internship experience and receiving positive feedback during the interview process, I found that the company’s hiring strategy seems entirely reliant on prioritizing individuals recently laid off from FAANG companies. It feels as though they are not genuinely interested in developing new talent or giving equal consideration to qualified candidates who don't fit that specific profile. Advice for Management: Be transparent with applicants regarding your hiring criteria. It is demoralizing to waste time and emotional energy interviewing when the process feels like a box-checking exercise. If you are not actually hiring, do not string candidates along with positive feedback. The current approach reflects poorly on the company’s values and brand. Recommendation: If you are not a recent layoff from a major tech firm, I would suggest looking elsewhere. It appears to be their business model to prioritize those specific candidates over others, regardless of your personal qualifications or positive performance during interviews.
