Pros

Company is flexible with holidays and taking time off to see a doctor or for personal issues (depends on team but mine was). Unlimited sick leave but honestly you will have no time to be sick because there is too much work and no people to get the work done. They have a nice small cozy office in Belmont with decent parking. Company has a system of thank you points which you can earn and spend on swag which is unusual – normally companies just give out swag. They do give presents on some major holidays and arrange team building events.

Cons

INSANE TURNOVER, constant revolving door. 8 people fired or left in a small Boston team of 10 people within 14 months. In other regions somebody leaves every single week (extremely talented and hardworking people) – for a company of 250 people it is super alarming but management totally ignores it. If you express any concerns about existing processes or product or doubt your manager’s decision, you will be labelled “toxic” and fired immediately. All good deeds and years of excellent work are erased by any remotely mild criticism, proper Lukashenka style. POOR MANAGEMENT, deaf to any problem of the region with huge ego issues, super underqualified insecure managers with no leadership skills/experience, with no validation of their work, poor grammar – total embarrassment to call that your boss and present to clients. They hire only internally for any leading role, mostly cousins’ club. Preference is given to family members even if they are out of school, did not perform and have zero expertise. Management salaries are totally out of whack with comparable jobs, local cost of living and does not correlate with their skills/experience/education. Meanwhile insanely hard working people get times and times less while working 10 times more. COMPANY does NOT CARE about employees’ well-being at all, will save every dollar on people. Overtime is common, there are more bosses in the team than actual people to get the work done. Whoever is left in sales has to take over the job of those fired/left, no new replacements or hires. Poor insurance. No relocation package. HR is third world and will never protect you, they just shut you down if you have the guts to speak out. The messiest company I have ever seen in my whole life. There is no proper guidance or training, messy 100 pages’ instructions with outdated/wrong information. A lot of details only people who worked long enough know, but nobody stays long enough. The hiring process literally checks if you can read and write, I thought the entrance test was a joke. No background checks. No proper testing of any basic skills. This explains the quality of hires. EXTREME MICRO MANAGEMENT. You will have no ownership over anything. It is a super bureaucratic company with outdated methods from 1960ies, the absolute worst of Soviet Union, company has no entrepreneurial vibe. Things are done last minute or past any possible deadline and extremely poorly. Innovations are impossible to push. Sales process is not organized at all. No forecasting, no sales pipeline, no planning or metrics, no new leads to work with, slow inefficient sales lead checking email content and doing zero strategy, not a single problem ever gets solved, everything is simply pushed for later. Managers are nowhere to be seen especially when there are any complex issues. It feels like a bunch of schoolkids playing with a business. The company has NO PRODUCT STRATEGY. Product owners are totally isolated from clients and market; they don’t have any plan or deadline (“it will be done when it will be done”). Product owners hide behind sales team which has to face angry clients and feel shame daily for the insane mess/delay/awful UI/daily nonsense/unfair charges. CLIENT CENTRICITY is NON EXISTENT and nobody cares about user experience. Arrogance is common, most people don’t take any recommendations or criticism neither from sales nor from the customer. The C suite really does not care, CEO is all into flespi and does not control anything while his buddies are sucking money out of his company. ZERO ANALYTICS, no data driven approach, everyone is just doing what they “feel, believe, think” is best. Super EMBARASSING CONTENT – sexism/racism (openly mocking African Americans and saying N word), not LGBT friendly (suggestive content, no sense of human dignity), low quality of English, unprofessional behavior and swearing. Favoritism is very common. If you work hard, they will just keep pushing all work on you while others chill and do 2 months’ work for 2 years. It does not feel like a safe or comfortable environment; you can be fired at any point for any rational suggestion, super depressing place with no career opportunities, your brain cells will die daily. Hard working and talented people are not being appreciated. Constant bad mouthing about former employees. Would not recommend to anyone if you have any other choice.

Hello! Thanks for the feedback. We are sorry to hear you had such an experience while working in our company. It seems you were willing to change and improve a lot, but were ignored for some reason. The issues you described are usually discussed with the line manager. If this fails, the line manager, the head of the department or division and an HR BP form a team to find a solution. The company aims at tackling problems. We don’t leave employees alone. If there were specific issues, we would appreciate hearing more, so we can improve things. You're right, the statistics show that some employees were promoted to managers, which makes us happy. We appreciate the contribution of those who have been with us for a long time (75% of the company's International Business Development Center work with us for 1-5+ years). More responsibilities and experience also means a pay raise. However, last year, 7 new managers came to us as external hires. We’re upset to hear about your feelings regarding the regional team and discrimination. We pay a lot of attention to such comments. Our clients are located in 150+ countries, and we do care about the community we’ve been supporting for 20 years. We’re on the way to consider possible issues and fix them up. We appreciate your feedback and promise to work on the questions you pointed out. Thank you for being part of our team.

Thank you for the feedback—though it seems this review might have been intended for a different company. Gurtam has never hosted internships in the United States, including Austin, TX, so it’s likely there’s been a mix-up.

Pros

None, zero! Oh i have to write 5 words here and I have none.

Cons

1. Micromanagement If you want to feel like in the 1st grade again - Welcome! Even spaces between lines in your outgoing e-mails will be checked. (In fact, all your outgoing e-mails are being read) Or if you like re-doing the same task just because (not important at all) when you do have a lot more important ones - all can be found here. 2. Highest staff turnover People are being fired left and right (it only takes to disagree once). Out of 7 employees 5 changed in a year. 3. Cheapest management What else can you save a penny on? Right, employees' health insurance. Let's downgrade without asking the team. 4. Horrible management style. It would take an essay to describe all facts One fact - no compromise. When you can perform 100% of your work duties from home and still get forced to commute to the office during COVID (who cares about employees safety) 5. Bad mouthing former employees Despite the fact you have the best work ethics and high work standards - turns out it's not a good thing to do your job@200% List can go on...bottom line - RUN!!!
