Pros

I worked at Gurtam for 5 years. During my first 1.5 years, I worked in the Finance department, and later I had the opportunity to reskill and move into a software developer role. This kind of internal growth and career transition is something I really value. Gurtam has many excellent specialists, supportive colleagues, and strong managers. While working there, I made true friends who were always ready to help and support me. The company has a very friendly and collaborative atmosphere. The product is interesting, and the company provides great opportunities for learning and professional development, including hackathons and other initiatives. The HR team is always helpful and organizes excellent events, both for employees and their families. There are also many great company activities, teambuilding events and development focused initiatives. The CEO is great and inspiring. Salaries are competitive, and overall the company offers a very positive working environment. tkan

Cons

No negatives. The only real risk is that with company paid lunches and a kitchen always full of food, you might leave with great memories… and a few extra kilos.

Thank you for sharing this and for being part of Gurtam for 5 years. We’re happy that Gurtam could be a place where your transition from Finance to Software Development happened with the support of colleagues, managers, and the wider team around you. We're glad to hear you had a positive experience within your team, and the company overall. And about the extra kilos... we’ll take that as a very serious side effect of free lunches and kitchen stocks :)

Thank you for the feedback—though it seems this review might have been intended for a different company. Gurtam has never hosted internships in the United States, including Austin, TX, so it’s likely there’s been a mix-up.

Pros

None, zero! Oh i have to write 5 words here and I have none.

Cons

1. Micromanagement If you want to feel like in the 1st grade again - Welcome! Even spaces between lines in your outgoing e-mails will be checked. (In fact, all your outgoing e-mails are being read) Or if you like re-doing the same task just because (not important at all) when you do have a lot more important ones - all can be found here. 2. Highest staff turnover People are being fired left and right (it only takes to disagree once). Out of 7 employees 5 changed in a year. 3. Cheapest management What else can you save a penny on? Right, employees' health insurance. Let's downgrade without asking the team. 4. Horrible management style. It would take an essay to describe all facts One fact - no compromise. When you can perform 100% of your work duties from home and still get forced to commute to the office during COVID (who cares about employees safety) 5. Bad mouthing former employees Despite the fact you have the best work ethics and high work standards - turns out it's not a good thing to do your job@200% List can go on...bottom line - RUN!!!
