In 2020 I took a job at Academy Mortgage answering phones and quickly was brought in to assist with general office administrative support. I felt seen and a part of a great team that loved working together. The people at this company care about you and while it can be some long hours when those rates are low, there's a high in knowing you're doing a great job that gets you through. Great ethics, great management and fantastic co-workers.
Cons
You're not going to be able to skate through. I came in with no knowledge of mortgages but I love learning. I watched people try to do the bare minimum. They didn't last long. In a team of people who want to be there, half-assing is going to stand out like a sore thumb.
