Pros
Technology is starting to come up to speed with other companies in the industry so you have opportunities to learn, compensation and benefits are very fair, I was part of the group that spent 11 mos in Jersey City due to Super Storm Sandy and the move back and forth went seamless - the company pretty much covered everything to make us feel comfortable. IT staff are knowledgeable and generally helpful.
Cons
As with any large company, the culture goes in cycles and I speak just from the IT perspective. Centralize to de-centralize and back again, off shore work to bringing it back to sending it off again..it all depends who the Officers are of any particular area. Right now it seems to lean toward sending much support work off shore so if you are not lucky enough to be on a development project, you will have to keep a watch to see where your particular work might end up right now. I also think Guardian IT is becoming very top heavy but again this is another cycle as I have seen it run lean as well. Some areas were very overworked and understaffed while others seemed the opposite.
