Pros
- Coworkers are friendly. - This is a place you can likely be hired if you’re looking for an entry-level position, so long as you fit the Mission, Vision, Values.
Cons
- The company worships their MVVs, and uses them as much as possible when hiring and promoting. They form a culture where they hire a lot of fresh-out-of-school people and then dangle the carrot of career growth for as long as possible while paying well below industry standard of wages and having zero flexibility for even hybrid work. The consequence of this is even the leadership lacks a lot of the technical skills you'd expect, and playing office politics will get you much farther here than actual ability. - Management consists of a few narcissists that promote the idea of “healthy conflict” (part of their mission statement), which is really just an excuse for them to be awful to people and power trip. If you don't play to their game they will isolate you and tarnish your reputation, even if you do quality work. - Due to poor management, hard work is rarely recognized and help is not often given when it's needed. - The company historically has a high turnover rate where entire departments will be let go. You can also be put under the spotlight of the CEO randomly, and suddenly you may be demoted or put under a PIP. This happens a lot to people here, and most of them are pretty blindsided by it when it does happen. - They also pray during company-wide meetings and pay for a bible study program for everybody as a “perk”. Yeah, it’s weird. Company in general can feel like a cult sometimes.
