Pros

The pay is good and the equipment supplied is nice. There is a young staff that is very friendly. Office is in a good location in NYC.

Cons

Working on the Sales Side of GC, it seems like a great company to work for, but don't let the it fool you. The Sales managment is horrible, they have no idea what their employee's are doing and they change everything all the time. Also we keep trying to launch products and dates but it takes too much time. I consistently have to go to my merchants in the city to let them know that we are still planning to go live, even though I told them the same news months ago. Also the Sales Manager keeps changing what he wants, not the best manager I have had. The Senior Account Exec's are better for guidance, problem solving and being consultive.

Pros

Culture is a huge part of the Group Commerce experience. If you're looking to get assignments, head to a cubicle, and hammer out assignments, this isn't the place for you. The work is pretty rewarding, and we are new enough that we are still figuring things out, meaning everyone can make a significant impact on the future of the company. At the same time, we are well-funded and making money; not yet profitable, but tracking toward it nicely. Also, memes are a big part of life.

Cons

Paychecks are probably on par with other nyc startups, but those other startups are probably more generous with equity.
