Pros

They are now one of the largest motor groups in the UK - for better or worse!

Cons

Following the buyout of Inchcape Retail UK Ltd they took the axe to the organisation and 'assimilated' a once-great organisation into the viscous, back-stabbing, self-serving, ill-managed, heartless, morally bankrupt abomination that is Group 1 Automotive. Run invasively from the US, and forced to adopt US ways of working - including the propensity to treat people like cattle rather than human beings - the culture is adversarial and unpleasant. While the organisation asset-strips any and all acquisitions it makes, its people will be treated with distain and callous disregard for their humanity.

Pros

They offer employee stock benefits.

Cons

The workplace culture has deteriorated significantly over the past few years. What was once an organization employees were proud to be part of has become an environment where morale is consistently low and many employees feel disengaged and dissatisfied. The changes in leadership and culture have had a noticeable negative impact on the overall employee experience. Based on my experience, I would encourage prospective employees to avoid at all cost.
