Pros

There are a very few, competent directors here with excellent leadership qualities that could easily turn this location around should they ever be given the opportunity. Majority of hourly workers are fine people dedicated to the company's mission.

Cons

Los Angeles operation is absolutely suffering for ethical, competent, and intelligent, leadership. Worst management I've ever worked with. The majority of managers/directors lack a basic Business acumen, have horrible people skills and unbelievable egos. Those promoted into management positions tend to be unqualified and ill-prepared for leadership roles. There is a culture of favoritism, fear, and distrust that create instability within the organization which often results in underhanded business tactics. Be prepared to have your career and reputation destroyed at any moment because most VP's and Directors can't manage their managers. Managers that are capable to lead are reluctant to do so for fear of being targeted for competence. The company struggles with direction, communication, and effective decision making. Unskilled labor is routinely hired for skilled positions. It is common for managers to rely on "Procedures" to replace experience and proper training.

Pros

Good for phlebotomy experience Meet interesting people Learn to keep plates spinning Good health benefits, but not enough to outweigh the health impacts Learn working in a high-stress fast-paced work environment

Cons

Have to unlearn working in a high-stress fast-paced work environment High school drama and toxicity, management is the prom king/queen Cliquey dramatic management team Reneged agreements Playing favorites, rules for thee but not for me Private employee info gets spread, often by those who are relied upon to keep it private No work life balance or boundaries, and it's an admitted and perpetually unaddressed fault Have to be made to feel guilty for wanting to leave production, get a break, or go to the bathroom High turnover "Is everyone else working as hard as I am?",-Everyone, and eventually you
