Pros

Interacting with patients and donors is delightful. Benefits are good. Tremendous growth over the next few years.

Cons

If you like doing mostly pro bono work, there are few cons surrounding pay, but unfortunately a lot of the top talent leaves because of the long work hours and low pay. When new people are hired, they are given the impression there will be some life balance. Nope.

Pros

Good for phlebotomy experience Meet interesting people Learn to keep plates spinning Good health benefits, but not enough to outweigh the health impacts Learn working in a high-stress fast-paced work environment

Cons

Have to unlearn working in a high-stress fast-paced work environment High school drama and toxicity, management is the prom king/queen Cliquey dramatic management team Reneged agreements Playing favorites, rules for thee but not for me Private employee info gets spread, often by those who are relied upon to keep it private No work life balance or boundaries, and it's an admitted and perpetually unaddressed fault Have to be made to feel guilty for wanting to leave production, get a break, or go to the bathroom High turnover "Is everyone else working as hard as I am?",-Everyone, and eventually you
