Pros

Great colleagues. Lots of OT. Benefits on par with market average. Perks are on par with similar jobs at other companies. This is a great gig if you want some savings or want to travel in your 1/4 of the country. You will be working 60 hr weeks and probably 6 day weeks on average but everything will be paid for so most your income will go to savings after you pay rent/mortgage for the home you will never be at.

Cons

No work life balance. Active discrimination. Dysfunctional management. Rate is under average but made up with endless OT. Middle management in Diagnostics is atrocious. It's clear they don't know what they are doing. They like pulling stats that don't correlate to their KPIs just because they were easier numbers to pull. They won't get more head count either so you will be working your tail off. They have known flaws in procedures and won't correct them. It's a very toxic and political environment. Management will say anything they want, even insulting coworkers behind their back, but make sure you don't hurt management's fragile egos because that can get you in big trouble. The current director labels himself as a 'dictator' and I think that says everything you need to know. Stay away if you want to have a life outside work and you don't want to kiss up to someone every day.

Pros

Good for phlebotomy experience Meet interesting people Learn to keep plates spinning Good health benefits, but not enough to outweigh the health impacts Learn working in a high-stress fast-paced work environment

Cons

Have to unlearn working in a high-stress fast-paced work environment High school drama and toxicity, management is the prom king/queen Cliquey dramatic management team Reneged agreements Playing favorites, rules for thee but not for me Private employee info gets spread, often by those who are relied upon to keep it private No work life balance or boundaries, and it's an admitted and perpetually unaddressed fault Have to be made to feel guilty for wanting to leave production, get a break, or go to the bathroom High turnover "Is everyone else working as hard as I am?",-Everyone, and eventually you
