Pros

I worked for Hong Kong office previously and was one of the employees who joined this company in early stages. Seeing some very negative feedback on this platform, I want to write something more fair to justify the working environment in GreySpark. Working in GreySpark is a truly enjoyable experience for myself. My manager is of cheerful character which create a pleasant work environment to work in. He is a very down-to-earth person and doesn't mind to walk you through some of the simplest tasks a junior member would be asked to do, which eliminates the massive hierarchy in most of the bigger companies. He is a supportive manager as well as he will always stand up for you and back you up when you need to be.

Cons

Might be slightly difficult for some people that are just looking for some short-tern contract works as this company is looking for people that are looking for a long term career and those who want to build and grow with this growing firm.

GreySpark Response

We are very pleased you have had such a positive experience and also thank you for the contribution you have made to the firm. I would agree with the Cons section: our intention from the start has been to offer a career at GreySpark, not an associate model. This does present its own difficulties however we feel our commitment to employees is reflected in the overall positive and enthusiastic attitude they portray. Good luck with your next role!

Pros

GreySpark has a strong culture in terms of ideas and knowledge sharing. People have the opportunity to contribute, to be challenged intellectually and to learn, leading to a natural tendency towards thought leadership and being in step with the current (and future) challenges that our clients have to contend with. GreySpark is an international firm with a client-centric approach and is able to successfully partner with its customers on global mandates in key financial hubs including London, Hong Kong and New York.

Cons

Although GreySpark has a comprehensive career ladder framework which caters for people that can progress via a "Management / Commercial" track or an "Expert" track, continued investment in helping people to think of themselves as a "business owner" and not just an "employee" will help to define the mentality of whether people embrace the opportunity with GreySpark as a business opportunity as opposed to just a day job.
