Pros

I joined Greenshaw Learning Trust initially as a Deputy Headteacher and am now proud to serve as a Headteacher within the Trust. From day one, the collaborative culture stood out — there is a genuine sense that schools support one another rather than compete. Colleagues across the Trust are approachable and generous with their time; I genuinely feel I can pick up the phone to anyone for advice, challenge or reassurance and receive thoughtful, practical support. There is a strong balance of high expectations and professional trust — you are given clarity around standards and direction, but also real autonomy to lead your school in the way that best serves your community. It doesn’t feel overly prescribed or centralised in the way some trusts can be. There are meaningful opportunities to both receive support and contribute to wider Trust work, which has supported my own leadership development significantly.

Cons

As with any ambitious and growing organisation, expectations are high and the pace can be demanding at times. However, this is balanced by strong professional networks and support systems across the Trust.

Pros

Everyone is so helpful and there is a friendly culture and work environment. Hybrid, collaborative working and professional development are core values. I have already had several training and development opportunities in my first 6 months here. Management is supportive and schools and shared service teams all work well together. Trust is placed in staff to fulfill their duties and plan their own workload.

Cons

I genuinely haven't found any yet.
