Pros

Cute dogs, fairly nice clients, some holidays off.

Cons

Shorted paychecks (some missing over $1,500), promises of bonuses and raises that never happen, not paid for overtime or on-call work, not reimbursed for travel expenses on company time, non-complaint with the Americans with Disabilities Act, overworked and under appreciated, hectic management, erratic and temperamental owner of company.

This employee was a helpful member of the office team, she was salaried not hourly. We value work life balance at Green Paws Chicago and do our best to keep office working hours as close to 40 weekly as possible. She was given annual performance based pay increases and the opportunity to earn quarterly bonuses based on revenue targets. She was also rewarded with a year end bonus.

Pros

Getting to work with animals

Cons

It will never be a six figure job, but that’s obvious

Pros

They claim it's in your own time, but when they say that it's their time and what they need from you. They say that you can build up a clientele but are happy to take that clientele away if an employee asks too many questions.

Cons

They want the employee to use my personal device all the time without wanting to compensate. They also expect employees to travel out of their way on public transit or biking without compensation for it. Basically, the company asks you to do everything without covering anything. When I had a talk with them about my scheduling based off the handbook, I was scolded and locked in. They sat around and basically told me that I was the equivalent of a Mc. Donalds employee. Not sure why a dog-walking business would have the same idea. When I was there, they made me wait 30 minutes to hear Robb try to recruit older people to walk his client's dogs. It sounded insincere and it shows through the business.

Unfortunately, most of your review is inaccurate information. You were never locked in as it is impossible to lock the office from the inside. The door was temporarily locked as our office pups were running around the office and they both are flight risks. It is clear your care for animals is not up to the GPC standard if you do not care about our office pups running outside onto a busy street and being hit by a car. Also, you were not discriminated against based on gender. The furbaby you were originally scheduled to see does not do well with men and they would have injured you if you entered. It was for both the pet and your own safety we reassigned the visit. Thank you for the feedback!
