Cons
Challenges to Overcome: Not a Negative High Workload and Pressure: MSPs often serve multiple clients with diverse needs, leading to an increased workload, tight deadlines, and pressure to resolve issues quickly. Juggling numerous clients can be demanding but also rewarding. On-Call Duty: Many MSP roles require on-call or working outside regular business hours to address client emergencies; this can be considered normal to avoid interfering with an organization's workflow during the business day. Repetitive Tasks: Some roles involve repetitive similar tasks, which can become monotonous and may only allow for a bit of creativity or innovation; it is always best to continue learning so you can advance in your job role. Constant Learning Curve: While some people thrive on constantly learning new technologies, others may find it overwhelming to keep up with the ever-evolving IT landscape in an MSP environment.
Pros
Nice facilities and equipment. Benefits were decent. NOC supervisor was patient with me being fairly new to the field and taught me whenever he could. Coworkers were helpful and friendly.
Cons
Senior management expects novices to perform as experts. I wasn't onboarded correctly; it caused problems down the road. Pay is not good enough for the number of tickets they ask you to close out daily.
