Pros

Definitely a good company to get your career started at; most of my coworkers have been here 3+ years and said it was their first "real" job out of college. Upper management is very good, very philanthropic bunch of people. The company overall is growing while similar companies in the industry are going under, and while the pay isn't the best (kind of low for the area to be honest) the benefits are pretty good. HSA account and health insurance, a basic life insurance policy, and 16 days PTO right off the bat. Business casual dress code, free gym access, work from home (two days a month), once in a blue moon you can bring your dog to work (definitely not a common occurrence but fun when it happens). Voted the most charitable company in Boston and you get 8 hours paid volunteer time per year. For the most part you have opportunities to expand your skill set. Day-to-day isn't typically stressful and coworkers are all friendly. I definitely recommend this company.

Cons

Lower than average pay for the area, not a lot of structure as the company is growing and job duties are currently switching from team to team/department to department (to be expected though). Sometimes met with resistance when requesting training to expand upon skill set.

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
