Pros

I love working at Granite. It's a 1.5 billion dollar company where the CEO sits in a cubicle with his employees, not in an office behind closed doors. This is a company where if you're willing to work hard you will be rewarded. In 2016 most employees received $3,600 in bonus. They only thing asked is that between the hours of 8am to 5pm you stay focused. Upper management wants to provide the best customer service experience, all of our support and service is based in the U.S.A, nothing outsourced. Yes, I'm in management. I've been here 4 years, embraced the culture, have received promotions and treated well.

Cons

It's not a progressive company in terms of adopting flex hours or work from home.

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
