Pros

What made this place amazing was its people. A very cooperative and collegial environment, that allowed employees the space to be their true selves and to decide how they wanted to mould their careers. Management was generally open-minded and supportive. It is an absolute shame that EssilorLuxottica shut down its HQ after the acquisition with minimal support for transitioning employees to new roles within the new company. Lots of great talent was lost.

Cons

Everything was lost after the EssilorLuxottica acquisition.

Management is very transparent and wants to help you succeed. Work/family life is balanced.

Turn around time for lenses can take too long because they use outsource labs.

Pros

Great discounts on glasses and you learn a lot. Free exam. Nice employees.

Cons

Doctors are hard to work for and have you do way too many jobs other than your own. Pay is not great, and you are required to work Saturdays. You also only get 5 days a year for PTO. That's inclusive of sick time and vacation. There were a couple really nice people that worked there. Crazy amount of turn over. They put a lot of pressure on you to sell glasses, but expect you to do a lot of other things as well, so you can't be on the floor as much as needed. Completely understaffed, and you have to stay until the patient leaves even if its 2 hours after closing. Also if some one knocks on the door, even if you are closed, you have to open it, even if you are about to leave.
