Pros

decent entry level pay, they offer medical, dental and vision benefits, a couple of ten minutes breaks and a half hour for lunch

Cons

Management is unorganized, always looking to blame someone other than themselves for mistakes that are made, depressing atmosphere, coworkers are not friendly, too concerned with trying to be cool. Very poor hygiene, not too many workers bathe regularly and the odor can make you nauseaes. Everything says "Made in the U.S.A.", but most of the parts are made in Mexico and Asia, some come from Canada. A few small parts, like clamps, are made in the U.S., everything else is foreign. The parts they import are chromed in the factory in Painesville, OH, so that allows them to say "Made in the U.S.A."

Pros

None. Upon initial hiring process I was told I would have the position of an operator but first day at work the placed me as a saw hand cutter.

Cons

Workers are rude and make inappropriate comments to other co-workers. White employees are permitted to play radios very loudly that disrespects women and African Americans. Since I’ve been there 2 African Americans were fired for defending themselves from white aggression at the plant while the offenders were not disciplined in any way. Grand Rock is a racist environment.
