Pros

Co-workers are amazing. Pay is surprisingly good for a public safety net hospital.

Cons

Toxic executive leadership. John Haupert lost control of his senior leadership because he’s often away. Corrupt, unkind leadership at the top. They give lip service to serving the poor in Atlanta, but are mostly concerned with their own pay and bonus structure. The way money is spent is unreal. This is a public safety net hospital that has recognition parties at high end hotels and they throw a huge Christmas party every year at the Fox Theatre, with well known bands. The money misspent at Grady is unbelievable.

Pros

City with a lot of trauma and sick people, great place to get experience. Prehospital blood program. Looks great on a resume.

Cons

Lagging compared to scope of the rest of the country. Won’t pay for training outside of scheduled work hours. Very little to no hands on training outside of new hire or those selected to ride QRV or other promoted positions. Poor and inconsistent communication from leadership about roll outs or other events. Current leadership is more focused on meeting numbers than creating a good culture at work.
