Business outlook
Pros
The data infrastructure at Grab is genuinely impressive — mature tooling, large-scale datasets, and a strong internal data culture that pushes analysts to think rigorously. Compensation is competitive relative to the market, with decent benefits on top of base. The people are generally smart and collaborative; working alongside talented colleagues across Southeast Asia was one of the highlights of the role.
Cons
Org structure changes fairly frequently, which can create uncertainty around priorities and team direction. Career progression can feel slow — strong performance doesn't always translate into timely promotions, and the path upward isn't always clearly defined or consistently applied across teams.
