Pros

As compared to most other agencies/ministries, you'll have actual teams who know how to do CI/CD, and you can leverage a host of tools created to make the complicated Government Commercial Cloud easy to use. For example, tools to deploy data infrastructure that comply with all the added security. Most of the scripts that vendors typically handout will not work. If you fail a project, you will get a new one and a bad bonus. Not getting fired.

Cons

Your mileage might vary. Some of the middle management have strong track record in tech, but most of the senior management is ex military or sent from another government branch. If you fail multiple projects, you will get a new one and a bad bonus. Not getting fired.
