Pros

Benefits are good. People are nice, they try to be good with the employees offering bagels on thursdays and occasional free food

Cons

Every group is different, some offer work from home others don't, so it feels disorganized as there's not one rule that applies to everyone and it can be unfair when each partner does everything differently. Feels like it's not one firm but many and not everyone is treated equally. There's not exactly a concept or knowledge of HR just an office manager and an HR no one hears or knows about

Pros

Respected firm, objective bonus is nice on top of discretionary bonuses.

Cons

Lots of bureaucracy and the help that's promised is rarely actually available.

Pros

The Minneapolis office is a growing office with great opportunities for associates to get hands on involvement with depositions, motion practice and trials. I found my supervising partner to be a great mentor and person. She cared about me as a person and lawyer. I loved my time at Gordon Rees, but left for increased compensation.

Cons

Less than market pay. Senior associate laterals who were cliquey and sophomoric.
