Pros

Great opportunity to give back and build processes to grow the Goodwill mission. The leadership was very supportive of employees and the members who were listing on the platform.

Cons

The Goodwill network did not well receive adoption of the e-commerce platform that was provided, causing constant funding issues and worry about whether we would have jobs.

Pros

GoodwillFinds.com is an e-commerce platform built specifically to help Goodwill sell donated items online to support social programs. GWF is a start-up in every sense of the word. We built the company as we went along. There was an excitement in that things can pivot quickly from one day to the next. Management was accessible and encouraged ideas and feedback from employees. Hourly pay was very good and there were full benefits. As long as you were putting in 40 hours each week and meeting (or exceeding) KPI's, then there was flexibility in how to work your shift. We were not micromanaged. My supervisor was able to foster a strong sense of community, loyalty, comradery, and team work with an all remote group of employees. This is a rare thing. We truly enjoyed working with each other in support of the Goodwill mission. We celebrated our wins on the job and in our personal lives. Working with GWF was the best work experience I've ever had.

Cons

The company grew too fast for its own good. It was like building an airplane while trying to fly it at the same time. The people we had in CS were outstanding but we were short staffed much of the time and didn't always have the right tools for the job. This resulted in a perpetual backlog of unanswered emails. Lack of quality control within the Fulfillment Centers was an ongoing issue that was responsible for virtually all of our work load.

Pros

They're working well with people that has disabilities and can't work long hour like we've worked in our past jobs. The SCSEP Program is the one I was in and I learned and enjoyed working it through Goodwill.

Cons

You can only stay working in that SCSEP Program only for 4yrs. You can reapply but my situation they started going my husband pay so I don't qualify, and a few other people also.
