Pros

Met some great people here

Cons

Goodlord love bombs new employees, constantly telling them that it’s a great place to work and the atmosphere is a major perk of the job. While they treat some employees well, others are treated very badly. This company does not live up to its value of 'putting people first'. They have opportunistically used the pandemic to cut wages, adversely changing terms of employment and terminating contracts, despite repeatedly asserting to employees how well the company is doing financially to the extent that they are expanding the business. Extremely disappointing how they have treated longstanding and loyal members of staff during the pandemic. Senior management decided, with no regard to peoples’ individual circumstances and wellbeing, that certain employees were no longer needed in the Central London office. They were therefore going to cut their wages by approximately 30% to below London living wage. This was despite everybody having been hired initially on the basis that they had to commute into Central London and were therefore still paying London rent. Many people have had no choice but to accept a significant wage cut on which they can no longer pay their living costs.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review - we take our values very seriously and we're sorry that you feel this way. Please get in touch with us to talk, so that we can work with you to figure out a solution that will work best for you. The decision to transition our Central London temporary workforce to a remote-based permanent workforce was one that we took very seriously. Although we would have loved it if everyone chose to stay with us, we knew that wouldn't be the case for some people. We want the best for everyone who works at Goodlord, which is one of the many reasons we sought to offer a variety of options to ensure all employees could continue employment with us or find an alternative that meets their needs. Once again, please do reach out to us to talk. We take employee well-being extremely seriously and we would like to work together to help you find a solution that meets your needs. Best wishes, Lucy
