User Services Rep - duped into staying a few months - Anonymous employee GoTo Employee Review

Pros

Thorough and professional two weeks of training. Free crap (granola bars, seltzer, crappy coffee, fruit, beer every month, a gym, a roof-deck, free beer every month, other tech company bull). Learned valuable customer service and troubleshooting skills.

Cons

The Customer Care department hired $15/hour temps and burned and churned them for months until they quit. When I left after a few months, most of the User Services Representatives were still temps. It seems they were keeping temps as a business strategy; it costs a lot more (due to benefits) to hire company employees. I wish they weren’t so stunningly disingenuous about this. Many calls were incredibly difficult - customers were irate by 100% price increases with practically no notice. This anger grew when customers realized they could not cancel online - they had to call in. User Services Reps were not allowed to participate in fire drills.

Thank you for leaving your thoughts. We understand our Customer Care Reps have a tough role. They are the first contact point for our customers. Customer Care Reps are never promised FTE opportunities. We communicate that clearly to our staffing partners who find us great Customer Care Reps. We have a great track record of Customer Care Reps converting to full time and succeeding at LogMeIn. Prices of our products have increased, but not at 100%, and we direct customers to reach out to us if they want to cancel their subscription. We are sorry this opportunity at LogMeIn did not work out, but we wish you future success. Thank you, Jason

Pros

Remote and unfortunately that is it

Cons

Sales org is in disarray, constant changes to quota, replaced all of inbound with reps in Guatemala, very low and inconsistent lead flow. Maybe 25% of reps will hit quota month over month
