Pros
Nice office location in downtown San Diego 4 weeks of vacation time that people actually take Some nice colleagues
Cons
The history of this company is a bit of a mess, as is their leadership here. Do your research before joining which I did not do as deeply as I should have. Most of the department heads are wildly unqualified and do not have the skill sets necessary to manage teams or do their jobs. Unskilled staff is an understatement. Very immature and high school sorority type of culture which is lame even if you are just a few years out of school. Who wants to regress back to freshman year of High School? My "leader" was completely incompetent and she would never be able to do her role at a high-functioning software company. There is also a crazy level of office politics here- for a company this tiny it is absurd. One exec in particular steamrolls the rest of the company and no one has the experience or fortitude to challenge anything. There is zero (zero!) people, culture or career management here so if you are looking to grow do yourself a solid and pass on this place. You be micro-managed by people who themselves have no idea what they are doing, which becomes maddening sooner or later (sooner for most). Do your research before accepting a role here, relying on HR reviews is not the way to go.
