Pros

Having spent most of my working life in Retail Management I came across many individuals that with a little help and guidance in the right direction could really be successful in the career path they want to work in. Coming to work at Go-Train was a real chance for me to make a difference and genuinely help people on their work and learning journey. From the very first day I have felt excited and motivated by working at Go-Train because I really feel that this is where I belong. I am able to completely be myself and even use my little ‘quirks’ to build rapport with learners as well as form great working relationships with colleagues in the NCS team, Head Office and in Centres all over Kent, London & Essex. In my experience Go-Train recognises a job well done and rewards this where possible. I have personally been promoted within the National Career Service contract and this has motivated me to want to work harder and develop further within the company Go-Train also invests in their people by supporting employees through qualifications that will allow us to grow and develop within our job role and future career. So here I am nearly 4 years in, still feeling excited about my work and encouraged daily to do well by departments across the company. I think the contracts I work on have changed significantly over the last few years both in the team dynamics as well as results and I’m proud to be a part of its success. Here’s to the next 4 years and beyond.

Cons

As the company has grown so much over the last few years the company is in need of an IT overhaul to be at the level we are now working it.

Pros

Absolutely none whatsoever. Complete Shambles.

Cons

Everything. "Learners" are forced to undertake various qualifications that are of no merit or use when looking for work, but if they're sent here and don't turn up they lose benefits, even through the place has nothing to offer them and everyone knows they're wasting their time. Go Train exists solely to syphon cash away from funding agencies with noble intentions into the bank accounts of the CEO's. Overheads are kept to minimum to generate as much income for the CEO's as possible including wages for lower level staff, cand equipment. Staff are pressured to leave positive reviews on pages like this in a blatant act of dishonesty. Company as a whole is horrifically cliquey and if your face doesn't fit, or you don't let certain team members tell you what you can and can't do with your own time, life etc you aee frozen out, harassed and given all the difficult jobs. Horrible, badly run, nasty place to work.
