Pros

Nothing please read the cons

Cons

$18 per hour isnt enough to pay your bill.......This has to be the most fraudulent start up in New York, management is a joke they , will lie on you, gaslight you and wont care about any concerns you may have regarding work conditions. The estheticians are treated poorly. you only work 22 hours a week if you are full time. They will gas light you and tell you to pick up doubles on your off days. They are continuously hiring new people because they treat workers so poorly and everyone is looking for a way out. Also a manager assaulted a studio guide and they have two law suit for discrimination. This company is run by racist white women save yourself the stress don't work here.

Pros

Strong and unique brand concept - I was a member myself before working here and truly believed in the mission. Great place to learn a lot of different modalities. Although because of this, they rush through training, so you need to be able to keep up the pace and learn quickly in order to pass.

Cons

Pay is abysmal. No real incentives to sell product or bonus. Keep in mind that Glowbar attracts clients on a budget so majority of clients are not tipping the standard/suggested 18% gratuity. I did not like that the studio guides were not estheticians/licensed pros themselves because majority of them did not seem to understand how to properly ask for gratuity at checkout and because of this, the estheticians paychecks had to suffer. I worked at multiple stores and each had a completely different vibe based on the management. I'm a somewhat seasoned esthetician so a place like this was hard to work for where they micromanage every little thing that you do.
