You will be more patient if you work for GF. You get used to fail and lose customers.
Cons
First, AMD had good engineers but didn't have enough money to survive. We are sold to Abu Dhabi, moved to upstate NY, but many good engineers didn't relocate to NY. Next we hired whoever comes to interview to meet the hiring target. as a result we ended up getting many cast outs, incompetents, losers, and dead woods. They don't know what they are doing, they don't know how to develop the state of the art technology, so all they know is to copy from a Korean fab. So we brought many people from a nearby fab. But all they know is to make test chips, don't know mass production for commercial products. Moreover they have already gone through several rounds of layoffs. We got many leftovers who cannot find another job. Incompetence continues forever until they shut down Fab8.
