Pros

Most of the office spaces are new(er). Most of the office spaces are new(er). And most of the office spaces are new(er).

Cons

Everybody with common sense has quit or is planning on it. Human Resources should be renamed Corporate Waste. Seriously, they're not good at hiring or firing. They've probably mastered the checkout procedure for personnel that have quit though. If you're contemplating an offer please do NOT believe any of the bonus hype or job growth opportunities that they made feed you. The review system is right out of the 80's so don't plan on any big raises or bonuses unless your manager ABSOLUTELY LOVES YOU and has the spine to fight other managers to support your rating. Keep in mind that it's a ranking system similar to the movie Highlander, in that there can be only one... Senior management is absolutely clueless. They think that we don't see the constant hiring of director and VP level personnel while being told that there's not enough money for raises. Nobody on the fab floor ever knows what is going on. Seriously, we have never been told who our customers are or what we are supposed to be making. EHS personnel have no prior semiconductor experience, therefore they do not know the real dangers of the factory. They've listened to the shady Asian engineers who have led them to believe everything that they say. There are constant chemical leaks throughout the factory due to GF hiring union contractors with no prior semiconductor plumbing experience. Promotions, raises and bonuses are a joke. They'll (ATIC Investment Team) tell you in one breath that they don't expect the fab to be profitable until after 7-10 years but then tell you at year 3 that we didn't make any money & your yearly bonus is $130 and your raise is $0.12 cents per hour. Did they not budget for raises & bonuses knowing that we were not expected to be profitable yet? Whoever designed the parking lot and whoever controls the snow removal should both be fired. There are roughly 40% more cars than parking spaces so you better get here early. Very early. As for the snow removal, when I drive in during a blizzard I feel completely safe until I get onto Stonebreak Road. The road in is terrible and the parking lot & crosswalks are NEVER ready for the oncoming shifts. I've read a lot if reviews that praise the cafeteria... The cafeteria is MEDIOCRE at best. The food and the choices are not terrible but the cost is outrageous. An omelette and coffee should not cost $12. I can go to Denny's for less money and more food. Lunches should not run $12-$15 daily. Even the salad bar is outrageously priced. Hell, for $12-$15 I should be ordering from a menu and have it delivered to my dirty table. The recent "Emerging Leadership Program" was a farce. You apparently only stand a chance of making the program if a certain senior section manager provides his blessing. Cherry-pick much? I kind of feel bad for Sanjay. He has no idea how ineffective his senior management team really is.
