Pros
Honestly, there wasn't a single pro to share during my time with GlobalData. If you're interested in company dinners and showing off in a 3 piece then perhaps you'll enjoy the internal events but these aren't particularly over and above other employers.
Cons
Firstly they headhunt and recruit a lot of people through LinkedIn promising the world which doesn't materialise, eg training schedules, promotion opps. They must have a labour turnover rate well above 50% as people commonly left on a weekly basis. Secondly, there is no interaction between the sales teams and the analyst teams so you have no correlation between what service we are able to offer and what the client requires, constant battle to speak with back-office teams and as a result really poor sales approach. Thirdly, the sales training division struts around the office like they've reinvented the sales wheel. However, you quickly realise they're only on hand to help the division that are doing well and won't help newer teams in the initial stages. Furthermore, it's very commercial focused, which wasn't a problem for me so much however if you're below the sales manager expect constant KPI checking and micromanagement. Finally, and the worst part for me. There's an embarrassingly poor culture with the upper and mid-managers who commonly make inappropriate jokes based on race and sex to the point it was uncomfortable to work under these people.
