Pros

Great benefits, people are nice.

Cons

Terrible work management, no programs like Asana, Trello, or Ziflow to manage work. Everything assignment-wise done through dropbox, so naturally scattered work with no clear direction on what needs to be done, all done through dropbox documents, which is not the best function for dropbox. Onboarding so extensively long. 30 days of onboarding. Too many programs being used for onboarding/ portals/ messaging, all things that could be collectively done in one communicative program, so again that ruined the time and productivity. Far too many meetings. So many meetings that it would disrupt the flow of work multiple times a day. 7-8 meetings a day is excessive. The billable vs non billable hours sheet/ situation was so incredibly unorganized and unclear. There has to be a more organized method to Track hours. Work distribution lacked so much communication (again due to no project management programs in use.) so projects would often overlap with other assignments from different departments and neither would know the other assigned work for one person at the same time and didn’t give time to complete because of no communication/ coordination. Projects were sometimes very briefly explained over webcalls, with little to no description written down with detail, sometimes a small follow up (still not detailed) of the assignment through email after the call. But the webcall would consist of “i want this this this and this to be done.” With nothing written and no project description, details, and deadline, we’d be forced to follow up multiple times. The diversity was virtually nonexistent, though diversity was virtue signaled so much, along with ethics being shoved down your throat, but not being practiced. You are a number here, you are a stat here, the “family” narrative is pushed to make you work weekends and very late after hours.

Pros

I have never witnessed intention and care like I have at Global Prairie. The level of care that is put into the treatment of the employees, the work we do, and our communities is astounding. The leadership team is unmatched: everyone embraces you for your unique strengths, contributions, and perspective and empowers you to use them to propel yourself and the organization forward. There are countless incredible leaders to look up to and who inspire you to do great work every day. Global Prairie is also fun: we work exceptionally hard but we also have a blast at the same time. I couldn't imagine a better place to work.

Cons

If you are a hard worker and are willing to put in your best every day, this is the place for you. Be prepared to work hard!

Pros

The team at Global Prairie is truly exceptional. Nearly everyone I work with is an amazing balance of smart AND kind. We move quickly and do good work, together. We produce highly creative and highly strategic outcomes for our clients. Because of the employee ownership model, I feel closely connected to the growth of the company and my teammates. With regular "growth" or promotion cycles, career growth is completely attainable - especially if you're willing to put in the hard work, network with colleagues and lean into Global Prairie's values. There is flexibility within roles and high levels of collaboration across functions/departments. I'm coming from outside the agency world, but colleagues coming from other agencies feel a refreshing difference with the culture, community and working style at Global Prairie.

Cons

Like any client-services company, you need to be willing to put in work. Expect to work FULL workdays. Flexibility is also critical as accounts and teams within accounts transition a decent amount based on client and team needs.
