Cons
An old fashioned formality which feels misplaced in modern business. Qualifications and smart dress are considered to be important. If you want something, you have to ask for it. Pay rises, assistance with education and training, it's often available but you do need to make it known that it would be useful, and put forward a case for it. Working hours were not flexible enough to avoid the rush hours. Driving into Cambridge from 7AM to 9AM is a nightmare, and leaving between 5PM and 7PM just as bad.
