Pros

The working environment is a very focused and collaborative. The discipline leads are committed to thier engineer's success and project quality. This culture starts with the owners and permeates down through entire staff. After only a short time working here a new employee will understand that this is more than a place of employment but a family committed to each individuals growth.

Cons

The workload is at times very stressfull and frustrating. However my belief is that this can be turned around to be another learning experience.

Pros

GES provides the best of both worlds; a small business feel comprised of caring individuals but access to large business resources and showpiece projects.

Cons

No cons; it’s a great company!

Pros

Besides the obvious 10 holidays per year, GES offers a small company feel while delivering a large company portfolio of clientele. What the small company feel means is that we are a tight-knit team with members working with and for each other rather than against (no territory to guard, and nothing held tight to the chest). There is a strong sense of camaraderie which contributes to the culture of mentorship which is also prevalent. What the large-firm portfolio means is that the type and scope of our projects is diverse and interesting. Our projects include major central plant renovations, public schools, labs, etc. Basically, it's impossible to get bored, as often happens at more "boutique" style firms. This coupled with our rapid growth rate makes GES the perfect place to shape your career. Whether you are looking to develop your engineering, project management, personnel management, program management, or commissioning skills, there is ample opportunity here.

Cons

There is no Virginia Office... yet.
