Pros
Easy interview Located close to station, easy access
Cons
- Even though they hire foreigners, all communications at work are in Japanese. They don’t share any updates unless you ask. The way the chef and manager (and asst mgr) talked to foreigner staff are extremely disrespectful. - No training provided. If you don’t fight for yourself, you’ll be kept in the kitchen washing dishes, carrying all heavy items, and cleaning jobs. - I applied for manager position. When accepted, they said I have to start from scratch like others. But I was kept in the kitchen doing dishes, regardless of previous experience. - They said monthly meetings are not mandatory, but they scolded me badly for not attending it. I attended the next meeting, and the manager and chef said they agreed to decrease my wage because of my Japanese ability at that time. I resigned after 3 months. Other foreign staff joined at the same time left before that.
