Pros
Glo is a unique environment that invites you to be a part of something bigger than yourself - both in the world of media and tech. The President truly believes in incorporating creativity into every aspect of advertisement, public relations, and entertainment - and as a result, they accomplish amazing things. I was given the opportunity to learn, grow, think-outside-the-box and to never succumb to imposter syndrome. As the Senior PR Manager, it was my job to delegate work, design and produce, edit, review, and pitch/place deliverables in media. I can truly say that I’m grateful to have been pushed to think bigger and better - in a tech-friendly environment. If you want to get hands-on experience with some of the biggest names in the industry, attend exclusive events, and embrace innovation, I would 100% go to Glo. The President is also a caring person with amazing industry experience - he believes in taking a personal approach with his employees and offers a lot to learn from.
Cons
As a successful agency, Glo is growing every day, and can experience growing pains - but to me, that is normal for any successful agency. It can put some additional work on in-house employees, however, that is an industry norm and if you’re passionate about entertainment, creativity, and marketing - it’s not boring work. It’s going to be something dynamic, exciting, and outside-the-box - so I would say out of most challenges, that is a better one and the pro/con of that is up to the individual to decide. In my experience, it was actually a pro, and my leaving had nothing to do with the challenge itself, but rather outside personal circumstances.
