Pros

Customers truly love the product. Search product is great but assistant needs work. I still believe the equity will turn into something one day. It is up to you to gauge at what cost (hint: not $ wise). Despite leadership culture being far from perfect, ICs stick together and get you through it.

Cons

Extremely elitist and narrow view of what a good candidate pipeline looks like. Only want to hire top logos, top schools with low pay. If you don't fit that cookie cutter mold of "successful" you won't make it passed screening. ZERO path for career growth but they will dangle a carrot in front of you. Anybody who has been "promoted" internally were for lateral roles because someone left and they needed to fill that gap fast. On the other hand there are people who joined 3 years + who deserve a leadership spot but they hire outside of internal talent. Be fully prepared to work weekends and after hours. Timezone doesn't matter, boundaries don't matter. Unless you do this; don't expect to get kudos for your work during normal hours. If you don't do this be prepared to be blocked on any promotions, salary bumps. Even then not a guaranteed thing to secure that "carrot".

Pros

Exciting product and space to be in. Glean can help set you up for long term success.

Cons

Company is very frugal. In a world where it seems everyone else is investing more money into people, product and company as a whole, Glean cuts corners wherever possible. Whether it is subar pay, offices, tools for employees to use; every time somebody needs anything it is an uphill battle to get it with upper management.
