Pros

- CEO Richard Rabbat has a strong software engineering background and provides insightful technical leadership. - The development team is driven, experienced and highly cooperative. - Fast development cycles. Great opportunity to learn new things and grow as an engineer with projects that go from conception to completion in days instead of months. - Great environment for multilinguals. It was very gratifying to see a new community of users arise after translating our site into my native tongue. A majority of the company is multicultural. - A new office for a new year. We just relocated to a larger office in Palo Alto with plenty of room to grow.

Cons

- Back end team is mostly located in Canada and very busy which makes full stack development a bit more complicated and time consuming.

Pros

Gfycat moves fast. In the past year, we've grown from a team of 3 to a team of 11. The team is young, hungry and ambitious. The CEO listens to the users and the employees, and he's got great vision for the product. The company is going places and on the rise in the GIF space. There's tons of room for growth if you're willing to work hard and navigate through some ambiguity. The office is located in downtown Mountain View, so it's close to great restaurants and the Caltrain. There are always snacks in the office, and they provide lunch!

Cons

The space is small and a bit run down, and the company is growing quickly. There's a lot of ambiguity and uncertainty as to what your exact role is, so you've got to know what you want to accomplish and how you want to grow in the company.
