Pros

Excellent benefits, interesting challenges, wonderful coworkers. Depending on your manager/department, there is a great chance to work independently.

Cons

Getty Images requires a large personal commitment with little monetary or career development pay off. Upper management does not listen or understand how to move the business forward, so they put pressure on the lower rungs to get there, starting new projects constantly, hiring new teams, and then laying off those teams as soon as they don't show immediate returns. Comp structures have been changed to make advancement unappealing and upward movement/training is nonexistent. They also retain employees who actively harm the work environment while claiming a no tolerance policy for harassment. Diversity is used as a selling point in content, but not seen in offices.

While I'm disappointed that your experience wasn't great, it's important to me that we are creating an environment in which people feel like they can succeed. Pros

WFH, good overall culture. Good people.

Cons

Leadership has been slow to stay current and modern in the workplace. The business is straddled with debt from a pervious investment company that had bought Getty and gutted it. Future is uncertain.
