Pros

I was so hurt during my period of work there that I do not think any pros could possibly make up for how they treated me.

Cons

Employment at iStockPhoto Calgary: - Systematic verbal bullying - Manipulative, egoistic managers - Harassment agenda from managers, product owners, technical team, and HR - Treatment received and content of verbal bullying suggest violation of privacy at home with the use of company badge - Poor attitude towards competitors (verbally degrading other websites in company presentations) - Poor assessment of task importance, bordering systematic undervaluing of employees and deliberate non-recognition of good work (as part of the bullying agenda) - Very little commitment to values: Getty Images poses as one type of company, but is in practice a terrible place - Attempts to address issues lead to further bullying - Conversations made in private with a single manager are shared heedlessly among management and become subject of bullying

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback; this is not the Getty Images culture we strive for, nor an environment we would tolerate. Bullying and harassment are absolutely unacceptable. We did look into the issues raised in this review for the Calgary/iStock location cited, and found no record of any concerns raised by employees that resonate with the above description. We would truly appreciate if you could reach out to HRGlobal@gettyimages.com with additional detail so we can ensure none of these behaviors are continuing.

Pros

- fun culture where you get to hear talks by photographers - adopts new technologies relatively early in the game - a really great place to learn and grow as a developer

Cons

- can handle shifts/re-orgs poorly with communication, leaving employees feeling unheard and unvalued.

Pros

WFH, good overall culture. Good people.

Cons

Leadership has been slow to stay current and modern in the workplace. The business is straddled with debt from a pervious investment company that had bought Getty and gutted it. Future is uncertain.
